CANSA TLC (Tough Living with Cancer) offers support to children affected by cancer. In conjunction with La Volta Dance Club, we are putting together an fun awareness campaign for children battling with cancer.
The problem of childhood obesity in South Africa is reaching epidemic proportions. It is estimated that 1 in 5 South African children is either overweight or obese in this country. We’re placed third in the world obesity ranking according to Compass Group Southern Africa’s 2011 report. Unhealthy lifestyles increase the risk of getting cancer and other diseases.
We wish to promote fun ways of having a good time, doing some moves with friends in your local mall or where ever you are on Monday 17 June 2013 at 12pm.
Just play along by doing the following:
- Watch the instruction video clip from the web.
- Like the Lavolta Dance club page on Facebook where frequent updates will be posted.
- Learn the moves with your friends.
- Then join us at your own venue on 17 June 17 (Youth Day public holiday) at 12h00. You may do it any day, anywhere but it will be fun to know that we are trying to see how many people are willing to do it all at once.
It doesn’t need to be perfect. There is no age limit. Just do it with your friends or family, at school, at home or in public. Fun and healthy life style doesn’t have to cost money. This one is free!
