Guests joined in with the theme “Alice in Wonderland” by wearing the crazy hats.
Miss South Africa Finalist for 2013, Simone Pretorius, hosted a wonderful Cuppa for CANSA dedicated to CANSA Northern Gauteng and their work in support of children affected by cancer.
It was Simone’s aim was to organise a casual Soup- and- Cupcake Cuppa for CANSA where the entire family was welcome. The Little Party Place was the ideal venue for this Cuppa because not only did it offer enough space, but it also offered entertainment for the little ones who accompanied their parents.
Simone decided on a more informal idea and the theme was Alice in Wonderland! Thanks to the sponsors each ‘Alice and Ben’ received a very interesting hat on arrival, creating a colourful spectacular show.
While the guests enjoyed heart-warming soup and cupcakes, the programme started with a warm welcome followed by a presentation by CANSA Northern Gauteng’s Community Mobiliser, Lucinda Viljoen about CANSA’s Support and Care Services in the community.
Pierre Spies donated a Springbok rugby jersey signed by all the current Springboks, which was auctioned off together with Ernie Els Wines, in aid of CANSA Northern Gauteng. Wonderful raffle prizes were also drawn.
The photo booth was a huge success where the adults could get in touch with their inner child.
Simone has wonderful sponsors which included ‘The Little Party Place’ who donated their venue free of charge. Willoway Superspar went the extra mile by donating all the wonderful food and beverages. When Ghinomae Events and Wedding by Sorien Vermeulen heard about the Cuppa, they offered their expert advice in arranging the event.
The Alice in Wonderland theme was elevated with the Costume Castle doing their special ‘hat-trick’ and photographer, Erica du Toit captured every moment and by manning the photo booth taking the most amazing photographs.
